One of our long-standing customers has commissioned us with a special project: the restoration of transport trolleys that have been in use for almost 30 years.
In 1993, we delivered five electrically movable transport trolleys to a large media company, which have been doing their job reliably ever since. Now, almost three decades later, we were able to subject these transport trolleys to a comprehensive modernization.
The restoration process
We picked up the transport trolleys directly from the customer and brought them to our workshop. There we first repaired them technically and carried out all the necessary repairs to ensure that they were working properly again. We also gave them a visual makeover: after a thorough primer, we repainted the transport trolleys so that they now shine in all their glory again.
After the renovation, the transport trolleys were returned to the customer and connected and wired directly on site. Thanks to this modernization, the transport trolleys can be used to efficiently transport loaded recycling bins to the truck and load them up furthermore.
Technical data of the trough transport wagons
The transport trolleys have been designed to transport heavy loads safely and efficiently. Here is an overview of the most important technical specifications:
- Drive & chassis: Electro-mechanical drive that is controlled via a rail system and enables precise and controlled movement. The rail chassis is equipped with flanged wheels that ensure exact guidance on the rails.
- Load capacity: Each transport system can transport up to 10 tons - ideal for the safe transport of heavy troughs.
- Dimensions: With a base area of 1,700 x 2,000 mm, the wagons offer sufficient space for the troughs.
- Height: The low height of just 270 mm makes loading and unloading easier.
- Control: They are equipped with a modern PLC control that ensures simple and reliable operation.
- Construction: Robust steel tube construction with a grooved cover plate that offers both stability and safety.
These data underline the efficiency and durability of the dump transport systems and show that they maintain their high technical standard even after 30 years of use.
Future viability through renovation
The repair of these dump transport systems is not only an ecologically sustainable approach, but also makes economic sense. By renovating instead of purchasing new ones, our customer was able to save costs and at the same time significantly extend the service life of the dump transport systems.
